As you can see from below Summer Sonic has snagged possibly the biggest act of thesummer Jay-Z and of course Stevie Wonder, who unfortunately clashes with the Pixies on another stage. Which would you see?
Yes Kujukuri beach is definitely the best in the Kanto area. According to the wiki it the second longest beach in Japan. It's on the east coast of Chiba. Great for relaxing, swimming, surfing and having a great day out. The area is short on good car parks if you do happen to find a parking place then expect to pay 1000 yen per person to park there. So it maybe cheaper to get the train: Change to the Sotobo line at Chiba station and head to Oami or one of the stations after that. It can be a pain to get to Kujukuri by train but Oami is probably the most direct and the easiest to get a bus from, just outside the station. Don't forget your suncream.
There is an Interactive and Digital Marketing in Japan Event on Sept 2 & 3 in Tokyo.
The 2009 event will feature keynote speakers Josh Bernoff of Forrester Research and Scott Howe
from Microsoft.

If you want to get upclose with sumo wrestlers then try the beach sumo event held annually at odaiba waterfront area. They have events at various times and places around kanto. Check out the Beach Sumo Federation website for times and places.
Paul Weller: Fuji Rock Line up is to include former Jam and Style Council Frontman Paul Weller to play on Friday before Oasis who will still headline that night.
