The world famous Shibiya crossing (or scramble as they say over here) is the first place I take friends and family. You can go for a coffee and just look out over the crossing watching the diversity of youth culture in Japan. You've also got the statue of Hachiko- the famously loyal dog nearby but best of all is the atmosphere and the feeling that you are undoubtedly in Tokyo.
Gundam is here from July 11 to Aug 31. Don't miss the chance to see a full-size Gundam to mark the 30th anniversary of his birt. The loveable robot has mist coming from 14 places and camera in his eyes to give you a chance to see the world as Gundam sees it. It's free so get there early to avoid the crowds and to see the beast being erected.
If you miss the erection it is here for all to see.
