1) Nori seaweed. Sheets of dried seaweed. Delicious on salad and sushi. Healthy too!
2) Natto. Smelly fermented beans. It's refrigerated so may be even smellier by th time you get home so buy the day before.
3) miso soup. Good as an apetizer.
4) sake is great if you like alcohol.
